Illegal Base Jump from Whistler’s Peak 2 Peak

A young man illegally BASE Jumps From Whistler’s Peak 2 Peak Gondola. He has called his YouTube video, “McConkey Reborn”.

Over $15,000 damage was done to the gondola door they opened and several others that they attempted to open. The young lady was caught at the docking station when the door didn’t close and triggered a shut down. Her BASE jumping partner has apparently escaped home to Briton. She is most likely going to be legally changed for the damages.

Shane McConkey and Miles Daisher were the first to BASE jump from the 1500 foot tall Peak 2 Peak gondola connecting Whistler to Blackcomb. It was legal, their jump was a promotional gig to raise awareness of the new lift!
