Revelstoke Crowned World’s Best Ski Resort for Powder
Revelstoke Mountain Resort has been crowned the World’s Best Ski Resort for Powder at the 2025 Snomad Ski Resort Awards, confirming what skiers across Canada have long known — there’s no place like Revy when it’s deep.
The results, announced November 3 in London, are based on more than 140,000 verified skier and snowboarder ratings from around the world. Revelstoke’s win cements its reputation as a global powder mecca, drawing riders from every continent to its towering terrain and famously consistent snowfall.
In addition to taking Gold for Powder Worldwide, Revelstoke earned top honours in several other major categories, including:
3rd Best Overall Ski Resort – Worldwide
2nd Best Tree Skiing – Worldwide
2nd Best Resort for Intermediate Skiers – Worldwide
3rd Best Off-Piste – Worldwide
3rd Best Resort for Snowboarders – Worldwide
2nd Best Resort for Advanced – North America
2nd Best Resort for Experts – North America
“Revelstoke has long been a powder paradise for those in the know,” said Dan Lever, founder of the Snomad Awards. “With its legendary snowfall, vast vertical, and passionate local scene, it’s no surprise to see it take the top spot.”
Since opening in 2007, Revelstoke Mountain Resort has built its reputation on scale and storm cycles. With the greatest vertical drop in North America at 1,713 metres (5,620 feet) and an average of 10 to 14 metres of snowfall each winter, the mountain blends lift-accessed freeride terrain with a strong backcountry culture.
From the famous North Bowl lines to the glades of Stoke and Ripper, and the endless options beyond the gates, Revelstoke has earned a devoted following among serious skiers and riders who come for the snow and stay for the community.
Despite its global recognition, Revelstoke remains grounded in its mountain-town roots. Locals share gondola rides with travellers from Japan, Europe, and South America — all chasing the same dream: that perfect Revy storm cycle.
“Revelstoke is a big-mountain resort with a small-town soul,” Lever added. “These awards simply reflect what those who ski here already know — Revy delivers.”
Revelstoke joins international heavyweights like Grand Targhee and Alta Badia, Italy in the top tier, proving that British Columbia’s powder capital continues to lead the world in snow, stoke, and steep skiing.
