Marcus Goguen rides the Horse!
At the Freeride World Tour’s stop at Kicking Horse in Golden on February 17th, Whistler’s Marcus Goguen threw down a crazy run—including an epic backflip to secure a second-place finish. Watch Marcus’s run here:
Other Canadian results included Justine Dufour-Lapointe skiing to a 4th place and Katie Anderson riding to a 5th place finish.
The athletes delivered memorable performances in front of a deafening local crowd at Kicking Horse. The competition went down on the Ozone Face, which provided the perfect venue for the 2023 world title race to continue.
Goguen’s second-place puts him at eighth overall in the standings—good enough for a spot in the FWT finals. Justine Dufour-Lapointe sits in third overall and Katie Anderson continues to lead in snowboard. We’ll get to follow three Canadians in the FWT finals in Fieberbrunn, Austria on March 11.
