Snowkiter Getting Blown Out of Avalanche Path

Two snowkiters were playing in an alpine bowl in the French Alps when an avalanche released above them. One is directly in the path of the slide as its barreling down on him.

The airflow built up in front of the charging avalanche catches his kite and shoots him skyward a split second before he would have been crushed.

The lucky kiter walked away with a sprained ligament.
