Shaped By Wild
Shaped By Wild tells a story about British Columbia’s Coast Mountains, a continuous mountain chain extending from the Fraser Lowlands near Vancouver, 1,600 km north into the Yukon.
The diversity of landscape and culture distinguish the Coast Mountain Range from anywhere else on Earth. Through the eyes of individuals who have chosen to forge a life amongst mountains, forests, and ocean, the depth of the range is discovered. For those who choose to embrace its vastness, there is a tangible, innate attraction to the coast mountains. Often hard to articulate, it is a geography that consumes and shapes the individuals who live amongst it.
Shaped By Wild tells a broad story and is available to watch in its entirety through the experiences of the people who live there.
Filmed within the Xeni Gwet’in traditional territory and the homelands of the Tŝilhqot’in People.
