Kye Petersen on Tantalus

Kye Petersen explores the Tantalus Range and his skiing adventures would make his father proud. The Tantalus Range one of British Columbia’s most sought after steep mountain ranges. The gnarly but beautiful Tantalus Range is so close to Whistler’s Sea-to-Sky Highway yet so, so far away. Thankfully we get a bird’s-eye view in this short film by Dendrite Studios.

Kye was just six years old when his father—renowned ski mountaineer Trevor Petersen—died in an avalanche in the Exit Couloir in Chamonix, France. Trevor was one of the first to explore and ski the Tantalis Range. Twenty years later, Kye is following his dads’ adventures with fellow skiers, Ryland Bell and Pep Fujas–while the ravens watch from the heavens.
