Banff opens for skiing this week!

Winter has arrived in Western Canada and Banff will be open for skiing this week! Sunshine Village has reported 58cm in the past week and Lake Louise has received 44cms.

Sunshine Village will be the first to open this Thursday November 3rd, earning Sunshine kudos for being Canada’s first ski resort to open for skiing for the 2022-23 season. This is Sunshine’s earliest opening date in more than three decades. Lifts operating on opening day at Sunshine will be the Strawberry Express with all runs off the chair including the terrain park.

Thursday, oh THURSDAY, we’ll SKI YA on THURSDAY!!
You read that correct. We will open for the 2022-23 ski season on Thursday, November 3rd.
Thanks to the generous snowfall over the past week we can now *gleefully* say we will open THIS Thursday.

Lake Louise will open the following day,Friday November 4th, and Nakiska and Mount Norquay will open the next day, Saturday November 5th.

Mother nature has been dumping in Western Canada for the past week and it’s going to continue.
