Valhalla Powdercats invites you for big mountain snowcat skiing and boarding, and be professionally guided through epic terrain nestled deep in the heart of the Valhalla Mountains. Their tenure is six times the size of Whistler and Blackcomb combined. That translates to acres of high alpine bowls, steep, old-growth forests, and untracked deep Kootenay powder all day long!

Valhalla Powdercats caters to strong skiers and riders who come to experience simply some of the most outstanding snow Mother Nature has to offer. At Valhalla their goal is exciting backcountry winter adventure and they seek keen, energetic people to share our passion for cat skiing and snowboarding in these stunning mountains.

12m or 40ft of snowfall per year with an average temperature of -8 Celsius or 25 Fahrenheit. By the time they get the coastal storms in our mountains the snow has lost considerable moisture. This accounts for our incredibly dry fluffy legendary powder commonly referred to as ‘cold smoke’.

Located in British Columbia’s spectacular Valhalla Mountain range, Valhalla Powdercats offers skiers and boarders a chance to ride some of interior BC’s most incredible big mountain terrain.

Centrally located between the charming heritage cities of Nelson and Rossland – less than an hour’s drive from Whitewater and Red Mountain Winter Resorts, a half hour from Castlegar airport and three hours north of Spokane, WA. Their base is at the junction of Route 3 and Highway 6 in South Slocan between Castlegar and Nelson.
