Lift ServiceLift service can offer seemingly endless untracked powder at an affordable price. Some resorts get more dumps and others are skied out more quickly depending on the variables. These variables can include holidays, day of the week, proximity to a large population, local rippers and the frequency of the storm cycles. Be sure to do your research on altitude and annual snow fall. If your time is limited I have always advocated being free to travel to where it’s snowing. An example of this is flying to Calgary and traveling from ski town to ski town, following the snow and the openings. The options from Calgary are the Powder Highway(Hwy #3) and hitting Castle and Fernie and then continuing on to either Kicking Horse and Revelstoke or staying on Hwy #3 and going to Nelson and Rossland. Lake Louise and Sunshine can be good when it’s raining to the south. Here are the resorts that can be your playground!
