Whistler was the official venue for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic winter games. A one hour scenic drive north of Vancouver, Whistler boasts some of the largest annual powder snowfalls in North America. There is plenty to do in Whistler, here are some links for travellers from the Tourism Whistler website.

Whistler has become the Chamonix of North America, it sets the trenda and is home to the largest community of big mountain riders. It also is home to many backcountry snow-cat and heli operations. Whistler also has the most impressive new lift in the world Peak 2 Peak Gondola. Impressive!
