10 Feet on Opening Week!

Whistler Blackcomb delivered big with 10 Feet on opening week! The snow conditions got better and better during opening week and those who were there got some sick powder. The fresh snow packed down to a solid base and with heavy snowfall predicted through early December the conditions will continue to improve every day.

Whistler opening week

It was an opening that won’t be forgotten. When chairlifts and gondolas first started spinning on November 23rd what happened next couldn’t have been timed more perfectly. With over 10 feet/3 metres of snow to date, the first week of the 2016.17 season saw a whopping 204cm’s fall in those first 7 days. Whistler might have well been renamed Trench Town as that was what shredders laid down run after run.

British Columbia is going off this season, our beloved sister La Nina is delivering powder across the province with epic resort openings every weekend. This past weekend Fernie, Revelstoke and Mt. Baldy opened with great powder skiing. Next weekend Kicking Horse, Whitewater and Red Resort open with great conditions!

Get your powder-stoke on and visit one of these resorts in December, early season powder skiing can be the best!
