Canadian Avalanche Centre Board of Directors?

The Canadian Avalanche Centre is looking for two folks to join our Canadian Avalanche Centre Board of Directors. It’s a great opportunity to get involved in public avalanche safety.

The directors of the Canadian Avalanche Centre are looking to appoint two vacant positions on the CAC’s board by the end of July. One ideal candidate will come from a strong youth and/or educational background and is interested in helping the CAC further its youth and educational goals, and the other will have experience with sponsorship and fundraising for non-°©‐profits. Primary residency in BC is a requirement due to funding agreements. Interested parties may submit a resume and cover letter directly to Ross Cloutier, President at rcloutier@avalanche.ca by July 23, 2012. The board meets monthly via conference call, which typically lasts 1.5 hours or less. In addition to email discussions, board members typically invest 5-°©‐10 hours per month (1-°©‐2 hours per week) on CAC activities. Questions regarding this volunteer opportunity can be directed to the President or to the Executive Director Ian Tomm at itomm@avalanche.ca.
